German drummer Jochen Ruuckert will perform at the Jazz Bez festival of music free with guitarist Mike Moreno, bass player Joseph Martin and legendary saxophonist Mark Turner.
Jochen Ruckert is a German drummer who deliberately avoided formal musical education, which is very interesting in the writing and sounding of his music. Together with Mark Turner has been touring for over 7 years, reaching a greater depth of musical interaction. Jochen is also known for his play in the Marc Complendo trio (mid 2000) and in the Nils Wogram & Root 70 groups, the Kurt Rosenwinkel Group. He also performed with John Abercrombie, Ignaz Dinné, Pat Metheny, Matt Penman, Kenny Wernerr and many other well-known jazz performers.

Mark Turner is considered one of the most prominent American saxophonists of the modern generation. He is compared to John Coltreein and Varna Marsh. His Fly trio is best known for the best post-bop / neo bop albums. Mark works with such stars of modern jazz as Aaron Goldberg, Kurt Rosentwinkel, David Binnie. His improvisations cover several octaves at once, and they are characterized by rhythmic complexity of execution. This is what creates the unique Turner style. www.markturnerjazz.com
