Historic 19th century guitar
With the support of the Italian Institute and the Italian Embassy in Ukraine
 
Hear the sound of the Italian guitar performed by Pierluigi Clemente — virtuoso guitar player from Italy! He won at a dozen of national and international competitions, participated in over a dozen workshops of prominent internationally renowned guitarists, was awarded one of four "Premio Abbado 2015" scholarships intended for the best students guitarists among Italian Conservatories.
He is playing the instrument created by master Luigi Locatto from the city of Turin and the original historical instrument of the nineteenth century Mirecourt School.

Details about the artist:
Pierluigi Clemente was born in Udine in 1994 and began to learn to play the guitar at the age of 9 under the guidance of Marcella Colella. He continued his studies with Adriano Del Sal, Juris Gambini and Paolo Pegoraro.
Since 2008 he studied at the Jacopo Tomadini Conservatory in Udine in the class of Professor Stefano Viola, where he graduated from with honors and a highest score in June 2016.
In March 2019 he graduated from the Antonio Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria in the class of Professor Frederic Zigante.
Participated in «El Maestro» courses in Treviso under the direction of Maestro Stefano Viola.
Thanks to the Erasmus scholarship project he studied at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts in the class of Professor Alvaro Pierre from March to June 2018.
Participant of more than a dozen workshops of prominent internationally renowned guitarists such as: Luigi Attademo, Giampaolo Bandini, Ermanno Brignolo, Pierluigi Corona, Marcin Dylla, József Eötvös, Oscar Ghiglia, Olaf van Gonnissen , Stefano Grondona, Massimo Lonardi, Carlo Marchione, Matteo Mel, Lorenzo Micheli, Thomas Offermann, Jhorgos Panetsos, Brigitte Zachets, Frederic Zigante.
He was among the five most deserving students of the Conservatory of Alessandria selected to participate in the workshops of the legendary Cuban guitarist Manuel Barrueco.
Participant and winner of national and international competitions:
- "Giulio Rospigliosi" Competition  at Lamporecchio in 2009, 2012, 2014
- "City of Voghera" Festival of guitar music in 2009.
- Award for the best performance of Paganini music at the Competition of Vicoforte-Mondovi in  
2009
- Special Jury Prize at the "Guitar Forum" Youth Competition in Vienna (Austria)
in 2011
- International Competition for Young Musicians "Antonio Salieri"  in Legnano in 2014 and
2016 (Magnani Best Participant prize in the guitar / harp category)
- "City of Alessandria" International Music Competition in 2017;
The award of one of four "Premio Abbado 2015" scholarships created and designed by M.I.U.R. for best students guitarists among Italian Conservatories was especially prominent.
He took part in concert activities in collaboration with the Conservatory of Udine for associations, music and cultural communities of the region, as a soloist and as part of chamber ensembles with varied repertoire, including opera and modern music.
Participated in guitarist posture and biomechanics research conducted through the cooperation of the Conservatory and the University of Udine. The project contributed to the publication of an album, which was highly appreciated by critics and is currently distributed by Edizioni Guitart. He also took part in the creation of the «Tributo ai Maestri» album, which is included into the Udine Conservatory discography.
Due to the collaboration between the "Tomadini" Conservatory, Friuli Fund and CIDIM, involving the «Friuli in Musica» project, he played in halls such as the Palazzo Della Musica in  Thessaloniki in Korçë and Pogradec and in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of  Tirana, Italian Cultural Institute in Dublin and at the Column Hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in Kyiv during the International Guitar Festival.
