Female Composers

Most of the famous composers were men. Unfortunately, this happened historically. Does this mean that women did not write music? Of course, no! The pianist Dmytro Mykytyn will perform masterpieces of Lili Boulanger, Cecile Chaminade, Turkevich-Lukianovich, Clara Vick Wieck and others on March 8, at 17:00 in the Lviv Organ Hall.
Lili Boulanger studied notes earlier than letters, she was the first laureate of the Great Roman Award (France's largest music award). The author of instrumental, vocal and choral works died at the age of 25 from tuberculosis.
Cecil Chaminade is a French composer and pianist who conquered England and America. She studied music against the will of her father, but became the most popular woman pianist of her time and a symbol of feminism.
