Unsound Disloсation is a project by Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the famous Unsound electronic music festival from Kraków.This longstanding project spans 9 countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia: Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Armenia over the time period of 2016-2018.Taking place on September 1 and 2, Unsound Dislocation: Lviv features two nights of performances at the Lviv Philharmonic Concert Hall as well as a club night at !FESTrepublic. Club.On September 1, Berlin’s ROBERT HENKE – also known as Monolake and one of the creators of Ableton - will bring his acclaimed Lumière III project exploring sound and laser. Although Lumière has toured the world, this is the Ukrainian premiere of this spectacular project. Warsaw-based Ukrainian artist POLY CHAIN opens with an ambient set. After the concert, one of Unsound’s legendary club nights will take place at !FESTrepublic. Club, exploring leftfield techno and more. ZENKER BROTHERS will headline, a duo from Munich known as among the most exciting techno producers of their generation. They’ll play an extended DJ set. Also performing is Poland’s CHINO with a live set and Unsound resident OLIVIA. Lviv's DJ LAWRIN and Kyiv's KONAKOV will open the night.Day two sees the Ukrainian premiere of KSIĘŻYC with Ukrainian singer-songwriter SVITLANA NIANIO. KSIĘŻYC were one of the most acclaimed Polish bands of the 90s, channelling a spirit of experimentation and Slavic folk traditions. After a long absence, they returned to the stage at Unsound 2014 - and since have toured widely. SVITLANA NIANIO is a singer and multi-instrumentalist also active in the 90s, who likewise explored haunting Slavic folk, minimalism and the avant-garde. Also joining them for this special commissioned project is Poland’s PAWEŁ ROMAŃCZUK of Małe Instrumenty - an experimental band that creates music with toy instruments. Opening the night is Lviv electronic musician MANU with an ambient set.
