This summer, Lviv will be home to organists from all over the world for two weeks. From the 13th to the 26th of August the Organ Hall will host the 8th International Organ Festival and Organ Residence. There are 13 concerts, master classes and hours of good music!
Victoria Koshuba, the daughter of the famous pianist and organist Volodymyr Koshuba who will also take part in the festival, will play on August 19th.Victoria is from the very childhood on stage. At age of 10 she won the Grand Prix of International Piano Competitions in the Italian Turin and UNESCO Contest in Paris. At 11 she`d toured in the USA with his father. Her first CDs, recorded with Volodymyr Koshuba, came out In the US. She graduated Kyiv Specialized Music School (piano class) and Kyiv Music Academy (organ class). She continued to master the organ in the Gdańsk Music Academy. She is currently studying at the postgraduate course of the Krakow Music Academy.
Victoria has already been the laureate of two international organ competitions in Poland.At the Lviv festival, the organist will surprise the audience with the works by Johann Sebastien Bach, George Muffat, and Alexander Gilman. The performer decided to end this concert with the spectacular piece by Peter Eben "Nedelni Hudba-Fantasia № 1".
