

Nyckelharpa and harpsichord

Do you know what nyckelharpa is ? Imagine a violin with the keys that you can hold in your hands, like a guitar, and play along strings with a bow. This instrument was invented in Sweden some 600 years ago. "Nyckel" in Swedish means a key, and the word "harpa" means any string instrument.And do you want to hear nyckelharpa? Then, hurry up and buy a ticket for a concert on November 7 in the Organ Hall! Olena Yeremenko, who is a member of the International Nyckelharpa Community since 2016, plays the "Swedish keyboard violin" and teaches to play this ancient instrument in Germany. Lviv's harpsichord player Anna Ivanyushenko will accompany Olena Yeremenko. The two baroque masters will play pieces by composers whose names are known only to connoisseurs - Giovanni Battista Fontana, Giovanni Antonio Pandolfi Mealli, Olof Åhlström, and will also delight us with pearls by Johann Sebastian Bach, Alessandro Scarlatti and Georg Philipp Telemann.
Olena Yeremenko was born in Kirovograd, in the family of violin players, many generations of which preserving the tradition of violin performance art school Stolyarsky. Graduated from the Kirovohrad Music College with honors and the Lviv State Musical Academy. She was a Student of Visby Program of the Swedish Institute, studied at Malungs folkhögskola in the class of folk Swedish violinist Callie Almloff. Realized the grant Gaude Polonia of Polish Institute, collaborated with many Polish and European groups. Get tours in Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Finland, Iran, Uzbekistan, Russia, Belarus, Serbia, Croatia. Her musical tastes are extremely wide: she played in the progressive rock band "Ichthyander Dad's Only Dolphin", a grande-rock band of "Viranda", founded the “Bourdon” folk band.
Anna Ivanyushenko graduated from the Lviv National Musical Academy and assistant-internship in it. As a harpsichordist perfected her knowledge in Kyiv and abroad, she took master classes with many masters of the international level. Senior lecturer at the specialty piano department and head of the Baroque chapel orchestra of LNMA. Works with orchestras INSO-Lviv, Academy, Virtuosos of Lviv, Chamber Orchestra of the Rivne Regional Philharmonic. Participant of the Festivals of Virtuosos, Contrasts, Festival of Ancient Music in Lviv, Bach-fest, Bach-marathon, Music in the Pototsky Palace and others.
