L. Bernstein. Symphonic dances from West Side story
On July 6, at 7:00 p.m., we invite you to 2016/2017 Season Closing Concert. Lviv Philharmonic holds an evening of Felix Mendelssohn, Ihor Stravinskyi and Leonard Bernstein music. The Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Taras Krysa has presented the Lvivites a great season, and the last concert before the summer «intermission» will be no less exciting. The evening starts with A Midsummer Night's Dream Overture by the German classical composer Felix Mendelssohn. Next on the program is Ihor Stravinsky’ Ballet Suite «Pulcinella». The concert ends with an exciting journey to America — the famous Symphonic dances written by Leonard Bernstein for West Side Story which won 10 Oscars.
