Bach. 24 preludes and fugues

Dmytro Onyschenko was born in Lviv, graduated from the Specialized Music School, studied at the Lysenko music academy. Then studied in Moscow, Manchester, Hanover. Laureate of more than 10 prestigious international competitions. Among them are the famous P. Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow, International competition for Young Pianists in memory of Vladimir Horowitz and the Mykola Lysenko Music Competition in Kiev, international piano competitions in Australia, Netherlands, Portugal, Japan. In 2001 he received the title "Man of the Year" in Ukraine.The pianist`s geography is impressive, and hegladly returns to Lviv again and again. "There are places where you are expected" says Dmytro Onyschenko. “My mother lives in Lviv. For me the concert here is like an opportunity to come and say to the relatives and friends what happened in my life, share emotions and experiences though music".

On November 2, Dmytro Onyschenko will perform the first volume of the cycle "Well Tempered Clavier" by Johann Sebastian Bach. 48 preludes and fugues were written for instruments with a new setup that allowed one to sound equally well and melodically in all tones. This work had a tremendous impact on musicians and composers of all times and countries. "Musical Bible" - Amadeus Mozart spoke about it. "Essential as bread" - noted Robert Schumann. No composer except Bach was able to create such live and vivid works in the form of a fugue.The First volume of the legendary cycle will be performed in early November by Dmytro Onyshchenko.
